Medeama coach Samuel Boadu has heaped praise on his players and believes he has one of the best squads in the Ghana Premier League following their 2-1 win over Aduana Stars in matchday five outstanding fixture on Sunday.
The Yellow and Mauve had to contain the visitors for majority of the second half, after goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi was shown red card for handling a ball outside his area.
However, a late strike from Kwesi Donsu was enough to snatch the maximum points.
"This is a great win for us and I'm so much appreciative of my players’ resilience especially when we went down by one man," Boadu said.
"We did enough to win this game and deserved the outcome. I've got one of the incredible squads currently even though we're blending the young ones with experienced players.
"Our opponents are even playing in the Caf Confederation Cup and that alone shows the quality of players they've also got.
"We had to resist series of threats after the red card but I'm happy we made it in the end. We'll continue to do our best and then see where we will finish," he added.
Medeama now lead the log with 23 points, two points ahead of Ashanti Gold, and also have a game in hand after their fixture against Elmina Sharks was called off abruptly following supporters' attack on referee Nuhu Liman.
