Is Diego Reyes returning to Spain? Could Guillermo Ochoa have a new club? Will Tigres bring in another French star? Goal summarizes the transfer talk

Reyes with a wealth of options

Diego Reyes has fielded some sort of offer from at least seven teams, according to Marca.

The defender, who missed out on El Tri's World cup run because of an injury, currently is a free agent after his contract with Porto expired.

The clubs that have been in contact with him are Real Betis and Sevilla in Spain, Newcastle United, Watford, Everton and West Ham in England, and Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Santos lining up Djaniny replacement

Santos Laguna has offered $5 million for Independiente de Avellaneda forward Martin Benitez, according to TyC Sports.

Los Guerreros have Julio Furch and Jonathan Rodriguez still up top but are still looking to bolster their attack after top scorer Djaniny left for Saudi Arabia. However, Independiente is looking to get $8 million for Benitez.

No agreement to send Vargas to Brazil

There is not yet an agreement for Tigres to send Eduardo Vargas to Brazilian side Flamengo, according to ESPN Brazil.

While the Chilean forward may still leave Tuca Ferretti's club, he trained as usual in the first week leading up to the opening match of the season. The club had tweeted a photo of a Flamengo flag with the Chilean flag Wednesday, putting fuel on the flames of rumors the forward will soon arrive.

Betis seeking another Mexican

There may be another Mexican joining Andres Guardado at Real Betis, according to Sport.

The Spanish newspaper reports that Betis vice-sporting director Lorenzo Serra Ferrer is continuing the hunt for reinforcements and likes the idea of bringing current free agent Diego Reyes to the club. Reyes is set to join a new team after ending his relationship with Porto at the end of June.

Ochoa still has Italian interest

Guillermo Ochoa still has Serie A interest, according to CalcioMercato.

Napoli's early July move to bring in a pair of goalkeepers looked to end any possibility of Mexico's No. 1 arriving in southern Italy. But after Alex Meret broke his arm in training, there may still be a market for Ochoa. Genoa also retains interest in the 33-year-old.

Herrera an option to replace Kovacic

Hector Herrera could be a target for Real Madrid if Mateo Kovacic leaves the club, according to various outlets.

While Porto's sporting director said last week the club has no interest in selling its captain after a title-winning season, new Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui, who used to manage Porto, has a good relationship with Herrera and may call on the Mexico midfielder.

Ospina potential replacement for Guzman at Tigres

Tigres goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman continues to draw closer to Boca Juniors, a move that could set off a domino effect for goalkeepers, according to MedioTiempo.

The Argentine may be headed home, though he said in a news conference this week he's not keeping close track on transfer talks. Tigres would turn to David Ospina of Arsenal, or Racing's Juan Musso as potential replacements.

Spanish clubs have Lainez interest

Villarreal, Betis and Espanyol scouted Club America midfielder Diego Lainez at the Toulon Tournament, according to Marca.

Already rumored to have interest from French clubs, the 18-year-old has made no secret that he'd like to move to Europe. America, however, reportedly is willing to hold out for a $25 million fee.
