Eleven Wonders striker Asamoah dreams of earning Ghana call-up

Techiman Eleven Wonders striker Alex Asamoah has set sights on earning a place with Ghana national team following a perfect start to the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season.

The former most expensive striker and 2008-09 season's goal king, scored on his debut for Wonders against Hearts of Oak to help his side avoid defeat.

"I am praying and working hard to constantly be a starter in the Ghana Premier League so that my form will impress Kwesi Appiah for a call up because I can still play at top level," Asamoah told Otec FM.

"Football is not about talking, I said earlier that I'm back to score goals and thanks to God I scored against Hearts of Oak on my debut. I will continue with this form."

He added: "If the league ends and if I am still around, I want to win the goal king again just like I did in the past. God will surely see me through since I always train hard. I move and score like I'm still a teenager."

Asamoah won the Burkinabe Premier League title last season with Rail Club de Kadiogo.
