The German club are looking for the best way to get the most out of their new signing

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Niko Kovac is happy with Kevin-Prince Boateng’s ability to play in multiple positions and says his outfit must find the best role for the Ghana international.

The German-born completed a three-year move to the Bundesliga outfit in August after terminating his contract with Spanish topflight UD Las Palmas.

He has so far made four league appearances for the Eagles, scoring the solitary goal of the win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

“His [Boateng] versatility is very positive for us,” Kovac told pressmen.

“In attack, he is very good in the team with his presence - Just like Sebastien Haller.

“Such type of players can hold on to the balls so that others can push.

“Prince is also a player who can play from the [No.6 position]. Then he looks for and challenges for the balls of his fellow players and can prove his pass quality.

“We will see where we put him in the end.”

In Spain last season, Boateng played mainly as a striker and netted 10 times in 28 La Liga outings for Las Palmas. He finished as the club’s highest scorer of the campaign.

After signing a new three-year contract in May, the Ghanaian and UD mutually terminated the agreement on mutual grounds, saying the German-born wants to “be close to his family”.

Boateng has also played for English sides Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth, AC Milan in Italy and German sides Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04.
