The young striker wrapped up his campaign at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Turkey on a highly impressive note. After scoring in Ghana’s 2-1 defeat to France in last Wednesday’s semi-finals, the Liberty Professionals hit-man again found his name on the score sheet in the third place play-off against Iraq. Assifuah scored one of the goals as Ghana beat Iraq 3-0 to win bronze. That was his personal sixth at the tournament which fetched him the Golden Boot award.

Congratulations to Ebenezer Assifuah, Goal Ghana's 37th Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist
CLIFFORD ABOAGYE - GHANA U20

The 18-year-old also finished off an impressive campaign with a sublime pass to Frank Acheampong that produced Ghana’s third goal against Iraq. His presence in the game was always felt and proved why he wore the number 10 jersey. The Inter Allies player’s performances did not go unnoticed as he was awarded with the Bronze Ball award.

THEOPHILUS ANOBAAH - MEDEAMA

Anobaah’s volley did not only make Medeama Sc the FA Cup champions but also gave them their first silverware. The first half goal denied Kotoko any chance of ever realising their dreams of winning both the league and the FA Cup in the same year.
