He scored a dramatic 121st minute goal against Chile to send Ghana to the semi-finals of the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Turkey. At a point, it looked like the winner will be determined through the penalty shootouts, but the Liberty Professionals player produced a stunning header to give the Black Satellites a 4-3 victory over the South Americans. That was his second goal of the match and his fourth at the tournament.

Congratulations to Ebenezer Assifuah, Goal Ghana's 36th Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist
RICHMOND BOAKYE-YIADOM - GHANA U20

The Juventus striker came from the bench to score a brilliant goal from a free-kick position to ensure the 2009 champions silenced Portugal in a five-goal thriller. The 19-year-old got the goal in the 85th minute to give the Satellites who ‘sneaked’ into the round of 16 stages a ticket to the quarter-finals.

CLIFFORD ABOAGYE - GHANA U20

The 18-year-old displayed a true ‘number 10’ performance on Sunday. He bossed the Ghana midfield will ease and set up most of the goals in the 4-3 victory over the Chileans.
