Hearts of Oak
1-1 Asante Kotoko
Abubakar was clearly the star player in Ghana’s biggest clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium. The 22-year-old bossed the midfield with ease and got involved in almost all the Hearts of Oak moves.  Together with Obed Ansah, the Phobian midfield was just a formidable one, especially when Ansah was on the pitch throughout the first half.
Congratulations to Abubakar, Goal.com's 28th Ghana Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mention
KENNEDY ASHIA - LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS

Ashia’s double gave Liberty a very important victory at Tarkwa as they beat then league leaders Medeama Sc 2-1. The win threw Medeama away from the top spot and also boosted Liberty’s chances of maintaining their premier league status.

YAKUBU MOHAMMED - ASHGOLD

Mohammed is enjoying another good run of scoring form. He led The Miners to record an important 2-1 away victory over Aduana Stars as their top-four ambitions remain on course. That was his fifth goal in five successive matches. He is now a joint top-scorer with Hearts’ Mahatma Otoo. Both have 15 goals.
