I know Ghanaians are sad, but please forgive us – Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda
The shot-stopper is apologising to Ghanaians for missing out on the Afcon trophy and has called for support in their subsequent games
Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is pleading with Ghanaians to forgive the Black Stars following their inability to annex the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
The Ashantigold shot-stopper said he understands the mood of Ghanaians after waiting for 31 years to have a feel of the continent’s coveted prize, but there is always a second chance.
“We went into the competition with the intention of winning it, but only God knows why we couldn’t,” the last line of defence told Fox FM. “I know that Ghanaians are very sad because of this and so I wish to apologise and I ask Ghanaians to forgive us.”
“I would also like to ask everyone to continue supporting us because we have a lot of games ahead of us. We will therefore need the backing of all Ghanaians for the task ahead.”
