Burkina Faso coach, Paul Put has taken a swipe at Tunisian referee, Slim Jedidi for his performance in the second semi final game at the 2013 Afcon.
The Stallions beat Ghana 3-2 on penalties after the two sides settled for a pulsating 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.
The win handed Burkina Faso their first appearance in the final as they prepare to clash with Nigeria on Sunday in Johannesburg.
Even though Paul Put took delight in the victory over one of the tournament’s favourites, he did not spare the referee at the post-match press conference.
In fact, most of Jedidi’s decisions were questionable and the Burkina Bays especially felt a lot of the decisions against them were unfair.
“I am very happy with this victory which takes us to the final.
“But I think the best player was the referee.
“I am feeling ashamed but it was very clear Burkina will not play in the final and the second yellow card to Pitroipa was more ridiculous, an unhappy Paul Put said.
