Ghana to maintain the same team that beat Niger to clash with Cape Verde

Kwesi Appiah to keep the same team that beat Niger to clash with the Blue Sharks in today’s quarter-final game
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is set to use the same line-up that triumphed over Niger in the final 2013 Africa Cup of Nations Group B clash in today’s quarter-final match.

The Black Stars will take on debutants Cape Verde in the first quarter-final clash in Port Elizabeth.

In the previous match, the only change that was made was Christian Atsu stepping in for the injured and suspended, Mubarak Wakaso.

Wakaso has made tremendous progress in his recovery but the technical team does not want to play the risk game thus the decision to resort to the services of the Porto midfielder Atsu.

The Blue Sharks of Cape Verde are so far the surprised package at the tournament after advancing to the knockout stage in their very first appearance in the 29th edition of the continent’s biggest football fiesta.
Probable Ghana line-up: Dauda, Paintsil, Vorsah, Boye, Afful, Rabiu, Adomah, Badu, Gyan, Asamoah, Atsu
