Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu grabbed the Man-of-the-Match accolade in Ghana's 3-0 win over Niger on Monday.
The FC Porto player displayed a solid performance to help the four-time African champions book a place in the quarter-finals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He scored his debut Nations Cup goal after he connected a well worked ball from captain Asamoah Gyan in the 23rd minute.
The 21-year-old’s work rate caught the eyes of the Caf Technical Team thus rewarding him with a man-of-the-match award.
Meanwhile, Gyan was also awarded with the fair play prize in a game where he scored a goal and provided an assist.
