The Ghanaian-born Nigerien is not hiding the fact that he score for his adopted nation if he gets the chance as both sides clash today in the 2013 Afcon
Niger’s Ghanaian-born centre-back Kofi Dankwah has stated his willingness to score against the Black Stars of Ghana today if he gets the chance.

“I am a Ghanaian, but a naturalised Nigerien. I am looking forward to have a good game, if I get the chance I will not hesitate to score against my real country,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

“Majority of the Ghanaian players are my close friends, almost eight of them, we talk every day, yesterday even I had a call from Asamoah Gyan and we talked about the game.”

Dankwah added: “I played for the Ghana Under-20 but naturalised for Niger after I went there in an effort to go and play in France. I am a product of Pope John's Secondary School and I stay in Dansoman.”

Dankwah who plays for Esperance Zarzis in Tunisia has been one of the key men on the rear for the Mena since 2010.
