2013 Afcon: Expect more from the Black Stars - Kwesi Appiah
The Black Stars coach has patted the back of his charges and says people should expect more improved performance from the team
Ghanacoach Kwesi Appiah is confident the Black Stars will show a lot more intent in the upcoming games at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.Appiah's side bounced back from a disappointing draw in their first Group B opener against DR Congo to beat the Eagles of Mali on Thursday.
Mubarak Wakaso's penalty was enough to give the four-time African champions a 1-0 victory over Mali in Group B at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Thursday.
The 51-year-old believes his charges will improve in subsequent games at the continental showpiece.
“Tactically, the team was much disciplined and there was no loss of concentration. We still got a lot to offer and can do better in our next games,” Appiah said.
Ghana will now play Niger in their last Group B match on Monday.
