Albert Adomah says DR Congo must be patted on the back for their remarkable comeback

The Bristol City player admits their opponents did so well to come from two goals down to deny Ghana the three points at stake

Ghana midfielder Albert Adomah says DR Congo deserve to be praised for their remarkable comeback against the Black Stars in the Group B opener at the 2013 Afcon.

The Leopards went down 2-0 after Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah had scored for Ghana.

But they fought hard to restore parity after Tresor Mputu and Deiudonne Mbokani fetched the two equalisers for them.

“We have to give credit to DR Congo today, they have done well," the 25-year-old told Ghana.

“Our next match against Mali will be hard and we have to win it.

“But it is important to give credit to our opponents today.”

Adomah was part of the five players in the Ghana team who made their Afcon debut against the Leopards.
