The Frenchman is hoping to replicate what giants Egypt did in 2006, 2008 and 2010 by defending the Africa title that they won last year
The head coach of Zambia Herve Renard is well convinced that his charges can emulate Egypt by defending the Africa Cup of Nations trophy they won in 2012.
According to him, the 2012 African champions are in great form and spirit and looking forward to a great tournament in South Africa.
“We are ready; what we want now is for the fans to come and support us. We are here to defend our trophy with the same determination and motivation we had last year,” the Frenchman told fazfootball in South Africa.
“We believe in our capabilities, it is going to be a great tournament and I am sure we do what Egypt did in 2006 and 2008.”
The Chipolopolo arrived in Nelspruit on Tuesday after their goalless drawn game against Norway at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Zambia are in Group C alongside Nigeria, Burkina Faso and minnows Ethiopia.
