Four Black Stars players are nursing various degrees of injuries ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and could not train with the team on Monday in Abu Dhabi.
Isaac Vorsah, Albert Adomah, Rabiu Mohammed and Anthony Annan are racing against time to gain full fitness as Ghana embark on a mission to end its 31-year trophy drought in South Africa.
The quartet picked up knocks and other forms of injuries during Ghana’s two warm-up matches against Egypt and Tunisia.
Vorsah and Mohammed, who sustained injuries during the game against the Carthage Eagles, have been taken to a local Abu Dhabi hospital for further tests to determine the extent of injury.
Adomah had a knock during the match against Tunisia and he was excluded from training as a precautionary measure to ensure that he fully recovers from the knock.
Annan will continue to undergo treatment on his ankle after tests revealed that he is on course for recovery despite some pains.
The Spain-based player was taken off during Thursday's 3-0 African Cup of Nations warm up win over Egypt in Abu Dhabi.
Officials have assured that all the four players are being monitored to ensure that they are fully fit for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
