The four players have been asked to leave the Faro camp of the Super Eagles as preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations hits overdrive
As the January 9 deadline date for submission of squad comprehensive lists gets nearer, the coach of the Nigeria national team, Stephen Keshi has dropped three more players to make it four the number that has been withdrawn from the squad in the last three days.
Kalu Uche ruled himself out with a groin injury and he will leave the Faro camp with Rabiu Ibrahim, a surprise inclusion in the 32-man list, Henry Uche from Enyimba and Papa Idris of Kano Pillars, who just recovered from injury.
It was gathered that the duo of Henry Uche and Papa Idris were on the list as a reward for the persistence in the home-based Eagles side. There are now 28 players left in camp and the last unlucky five will be announced later in the week.
The list will continue to be pruned until Tuesday or after the friendly match against Cape Verde on Wednesday when Coach Keshi is expected to name his final 23-man squad for South Africa.
