The Football Association president of Cape Verde Mario Semedo is well convinced the Islanders have no course to fear their opponents in Group A of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Blue Sharks who will be making their debut appearance in the tourney saw off four-time champions Cameroon in the qualifiers and they will now battle the likes of hosts South Africa as well as Angola and Morocco in the first round.
Semedo explained his team should not fear any of the countries in the group and should be able to hold their might to get to the knock out stages.
“These are teams we know well,” said Semedo of Bafana Bafana, the Black Panthers and the Atlas Lions.
“A team that can knock out Cameroon at the qualifying stage, can face every other opponent in Africa with a certain measure of self-confidence,” he was quoted on MTNFootball.
