The Porcupine Warriors goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama set for his second Nations Cup appearance in South Africa
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama and AshantiGold’s defender Henri Traore have been named in Burkina Faso’s preliminary 28-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

After about five years absence from the national side, Soulama was recalled in 2012 where he helped the Stallions qualify for the tournament in the Rainbow Nation.

Belgian coach Paul Put has rewarded the first choice goalkeeper of the Ghana Premier League defending champions by naming him among his four shot-stoppers.

Soulama will be making his second Nations Cup appearance after representing Burkina Faso in the 2004 edition in Tunisia.

The duo is expected to join the team’s pre-tournament camping which begins on January 3 in Nelspruit, South Africa. The general team will be involved in some light training in Ouagadougou before flying to the host nation.

Burkina Faso are in Group C alongside defending champions Zambia, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
