French soccer club Toulouse have agreed a deal with Deezer, a music streaming service.
Deezer, which is also a partner of Toulouse’s Ligue 1 rivals Lille, will create a dedicated online and smartphone app in the team’s colours. Supporters will be invited to create playlists and vote for songs to be played on matchdays at the Stadium Municipal, while Deezer is also giving away tickets to Toulouse’s home game against champions Paris Saint-Germain on 22nd February.
Simon Baldeyrou, the chief executive of Deezer France, said: “We are delighted that all of these great Ligue 1 clubs have chosen Deezer to animate their clubs and communities through music. Sport and music often share the same values: collect, vibrate, distrust, exchange and live some unique emotions… Today, we have all the experience to propose to the biggest sports clubs effective, fun and personalised musical entertainment apps to the rhythm of the biggest games.”
Toulouse lie 11th in the Ligue 1 table as French soccer prepares for the end of the winter break.
