News Corp subsidiary News UK has reached an agreement with British television network ITV to sublicense the rights to clips from the remaining 2013/14 FA Cup matches.

The agreement will allow subscribers to the company’s Sun, Times and Sunday Times newspapers to view clips from the tournament online via their PCs, phones and tablets from 4th January onwards.

Mike Darcey, the chief executive of News UK, commented: “This deal enhances our sports bundle for readers and furthers our ambition to be the obvious choice of news brand for sports fans. Compelling content is at the heart of the distinct offering which will help News UK deliver its goal of securing a sustainable future for our world-class journalism.”

News UK has a four-year agreement in place with the Football Association (FA) for the rights to the tournament’s clips from the beginning of next season.
