CAA Eleven has sold a package of Uefa European national team qualifiers, which will begin in September, to Abu Dhabi Media Company in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The company’s AD Sports channels will broadcast European qualifiers for Euro 2016 and, from September 2016, qualifiers for the 2018 Fifa World Cup. The rights include live games and highlights programmes.

Both qualifying competitions will take place in Uefa’s new ‘week of football’ matchweek concept, which will see games played from Thursday to Tuesday, and are being sold for the first time by CAA Eleven.

A Uefa statement said: ‘We are pleased to welcome Abu Dhabi Media on board as a broadcast partner of the European qualifiers.

‘The AD Sports channels represent a great platform to ensure exposure for national team football. We are looking forward to working together to make the European qualifiers a great viewing experience for football fans across the region.’

In September, Uefa’s Team Marketing agency sold the MENA rights to the Champions League and Europa League, the governing body’s two club competitions, to Abu Dhabi Media Company’s rival Al Jazeera.
