Dutch public broadcaster NOS and pay broadcaster Sport1 have both won Uefa national team rights packages, which are being sold for the first time by the newly-created CAA Eleven agency.
Free-to-air NOS will broadcast all Dutch Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018 qualifying games, plus a highlights programme covering the best of the action from elsewhere in Europe. The games were previously covered by rival broadcaster SBS.
Sport1, meanwhile, has taken the live rights to all other European qualifying matches over the same four-year period.
“We are very pleased to welcome NOS and Sport1 to the family of broadcasters which has embraced the new ‘Week of Football’ concept. Both broadcasters are long-term Uefa partners and we are sure national team football will have an excellent platform with the extensive coverage of the European qualifiers in the Netherlands.”
Euro 2016 qualifying games will begin towards the end of next year, with qualifying matches for the 2018 Fifa World Cup set to start in the autumn of 2016.
