Lagos FA plans to revive football through Soccerex

The Football Association has concluded plans to showcase the potentials of football in the State during the soccer seminar

The Lagos State Football Association, organisers of the first ever Eko Football Festival, has assured Lagosians that the fiesta which is slated to hold in September this year is a solid platform to further boost the good image of Lagos State before the world and to confirm its position as a football tourism destination.

LSFA chairman Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi stated that the benefits of hosting the Eko Football Festival are enormous especially as it coincides with the Soccerex Seminar Lagos which will attract numerous guests from outside the state and outside the country who will witness the Festival.

Akinwunmi gave the assurance that the organisation of the Eko Football Festival will be first class and a pride to Lagos State.

He noted that Lagos State has a lot of potentials in the areas of football tourism and that the LSFA are prepared to showcase this to the local people and the guests so that the next edition of the Festival will be a must attend event for fun lovers and particularly football tourists.

Akinwunmi said the Eko Football Festival is going to be a fun event packed with lots of football, food, music and other entertainment.

“There will be a celebrity  5 A- Side match between an Eko Football Team which will hopefully be captained by the Executive Governor of Lagos State Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN) and an International All Stars Team.

“An Eko Football Future Stars competition comprising of Under 13 and under15 tournament which though will commence on the 1st of September, will be concluded on Sunday the 30th of September.
