Netherlands defender Daryl Janmaat will fly into Tyneside on Tuesday to undergo a medical with Newcastle United.
The 24-year-old will replace Mathieu Debuchy at right-back for the Magpies, meaning the Frenchman can complete his move to Arsenal.
Janmaat, who is set to sign a six-year deal at St James' Park, will become the club's fifth signing of the summer - although he is unlikely to make their pre-season trip to New Zealand given he has only just returned to Europe following his participation in the World Cup finals.
After initially seeing their first bid rejected last week, Newcastle agreed a deal worth around €8 million with Feyenoord at the second time of asking.
Janmaat should become the club's second signing in 48 hours after Remy Cabella joined from Montpellier for around €15m on Sunday.
As Goal revealed earlier that day, Newcastle want to make it a triple swoop by tying up a deal for Monaco's Emmanuel Riviere.
Like Cabella, Ayoze Perez, Jack Colback and Siem de Jong have also signed on at St James' Park this summer.
