The Bundesliga side will send the gifted striker on loan for him to catch up after injury kept him on the sidelines for most part of last season

German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are ready to send Ghana target Karim Bellarabi on a long season loan to Hertha Berlin as he seeks to get back to form after a long injury layoff.

The former German Under-21 star who was one-time the kingpin in the Bundesliga side has dipped in form after a serious knee injury which kept him out of action for the greater part of last season.

According to, talks between the newly-promoted Bundesliga side and Leverkusen have reached an advanced stage and they will release the star forward on loan for one season.

Eintracht Braunschweig who have also qualified to the Bundesliga have put in their request to have the player on loan as they device plans to survive the tough premier division and coach Thorsten Lieberknecht has identified Bellarabi as a player who can help their course.

Bellarabi was developed by Braunschweig and played 38 times for their senior team between 2008 and 2011 scoring eight goals before being bought by Leverkusen.

The striker who is yet to get a German senior national team call-up is also on the radar of his father's homeland Ghana as well as his mother's country Morocco.
