Lambert declares admiration for Defoe and Kenwyne Jones
Having been linked to the two strikers, the Villans manager has said he is an admirer of the two players but is unsure whether they will make the move to Villa Park
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has declared that he is a big admirer of strikers Jermain Defoe and Kenwyne Jones, but is unsure whether either will be moving to the club.Villa have been linked to both players during the summer, but the Scot says that, despite the speculation, fans should hold their excitement about the possible new transfers.
"You are talking about two really good players, different types of players there," he told reporters.

"Whether they come in or not, we will have to wait and see but any manager will tell you, you are always going to look for players."
Lambert also stated that moves for full-back Stephen Warnock and Alan Hutton were unlikely at the moment, but they would be allowed to leave if the price is right.
He added: "[Nothing is happening] at the minute. I've picked a squad for tomorrow at West Ham that will go and compete and do the very best they can.
"I spoke to Stephen and Alan, they know the situation, what is going on."
