The promising attacker, who pledged his allegiance to the Selecao, is keen to meet on the international stage with his sibling, who opted to represent la Furia Roja
The Blaugrana attacking midfielder admitted that such an encounter will have his father, former Selecao star Mazinho, torn apart over who of his sons to support.
"I do not know who my father will support," Rafinha admitted to Mundo Deportivo. "It will not be pretty, but now I'm not thinking about it. He [Thiago] decided to play for Spain and I am with Brazil. We have to wait.
"The feeling of playing with Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta, [Lionel] Messi, [Carles] Puyol and everyone else is amazing.
"The realization of that dream was wonderful. Notwithstanding the nervousness, I think I did a good job. This Barca will be considered the best ever. It is a fantastic group to play with."
The brothers’ father, Mazinho, was part of the Selecao’s World Cup 1994 team which lifted the trophy in the USA after a penalty shoot-out victory over Italy in the final.
