Busquets handed two-match ban

The Spain international will be forced to watch the next two European games from the sidelines for the Blaugrana after he was handed a suspension
Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova will have to make do without the services of Sergio Busquets in the upcoming Champions League matches against Celtic as Uefa has opted to hand the holding midfielder a two-game ban following his dismissal against Benfica last week.

The Spain international was shown a direct red card by Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir after allegedly lashing out at an opponent in the Catalans' 2-0 victory over the Aguias.

Uefa's Control and Disciplinary Body has now looked into the matter, and consequently made the decision to suspend Busquets for two games.

The 24-year-old will miss the home game versus Celtic on October 23 as a result, while he will also have to sit out the return two weeks later.

Barcelona currently sit atop of the table in Group G with six points from two games. Celtic sit second in the section with four points.
