The newly-signed defender is honoured to have been involved in the world-famous youth academy, and vowed to give his all upon returning to "the best club in the world"Jordi Alba has revealed his pride at having graduated from La Masia, and spoke of his desire to succeed with Barcelona after being brought back to the club this summer.

Now back in his native Catalunya, Jordi Alba reflected on his time spent at the youth academy, which has produced a string of current Blaugrana stars in recent years, and admitted he is delighted to have been given the chance to resume unfinished business.
"I am delighted to be here with all of you, and also to have returned to my home, which is Barcelona," he told reporters at an annual club meeting.
"I want to thank everyone for their great support. The club today remains the best in the world.
"I am proud to be the small kid who made the breakthrough at La Masia, which is bearing so much fruit today. I will give my all for this club."
Jordi Alba was speaking ahead of Barcelona's clash with Sampdoria in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Monday, which finished 1-0 the Italian side.
