The Peruvian coach says he is still very proud of his side despite losing the group stage slot of the Confederation Cup to AC Leopard
Medeama SC coach, Carlos Paulette has saluted his boys for their campaign in the Caf Confederation Cup.
The Mauves, who were making their debut reached the play-offs round and lost the group stage slot to Congolese side, AC Leopards.
The Ghana FA Cup holders cancelled the 0-2 deficit in the first leg and lost 4-5 on penalties.
Paulette, who missed the second leg as a result of his marching orders in the first leg says his team deserve some plaudits.
“I am proud of the team, because they really fought hard to cancel the 0-2 deficit in the first leg.
“So they met the objectives, but it is just that penalty shootouts are full of uncertainties," he told Kumasi based, Metro fm.
Medeama’s exit means no Ghanaian side will be in the money zone of the CAF Inter-clubs competitions.
