The Ghana Premier League enters Week-9 this weekend and Goal takes a look at some interesting statistics going into the games

Amidaus Professionals – Ebusua Dwarfs (October 26)
Ebusua Dwarfs are yet to score a premier league goal against Amidaus Professionals. Last season the then debutants won 2-0 in Cape Coast before completing the double with a 1-0 win in Tema. This season, Dwarfs have failed to find the scoresheet in the four of their eight league games, while the Tema-based side has scored in all but two of their league games.
Bechem United – Sekondi Hasaacas (October 27)
Hasaacas are the most goal shy team in the league so far averaging a goal every two games with four from eight games, and have failed to score in half of their games this season, their opponents, however, have conceded in five of their eight games this term, conceding seven goals in the process.
Berekum Chelsea - Inter Allies (October 27)
Twenty-three of the 119 (19.3%) goals scored in the league this season have been conceded by these two sides with Inter Allies (13) having conceded more goals than any other team in the league. Their opponents Chelsea do not lag that far behind having conceded 10. Inter allies have also managed just one clean sheet in the 2013-14 term of the Ghana Premier League less than any other team.
Heart of Lions – Asante Kotoko (October 27)
In the last five league meetings between the sides at Kpando, Hearts of Lions have won just once, a 1-0 win in 2009-10, Kotoko have won twice, while the other two games have ended level. The Porcupine Warriors have won seven of their eight league games so far this season, at least one more than any other league side has managed and have scored in all but one of their eight league games thus far.
Liberty Professionals - Edubiase (October 27)
Only games involving Aduana Stars (21) and Inter Allies (21) have seen more goals this season than those involving Liberty Professionals (19), nine scored and 10 conceded. The Scientific Soccer Lads are still yet to be involved in a goalless game this season. Edubiase, however, have failed to score in four of their eight league games this season, with only King Faisal drawing more blanks.
Ashgold - Hearts of Oak (October 27)
The league’s best defence faces its best attack when Ashgold meet Hearts of Oak. The Miners are the only unbeaten team in the Ghana domestic top flight this term and boast the league’s best defensive record having conceded just three goals in the eight-week-old season, collecting five clean sheets in the process (league best). Their opponents on the other hand have continued their goal scoring form from last season and hold the league’s best goal scoring record with 12 goals in eight games and have drawn a blank just once after eight games.
