Ayew: I’m not at Sochaux to woo the media

The Ghanaian forward has emphasised that he is not ready to influence anyone and does not care about what people write or say about him in France since his work speaks for him

Ghana international Jordan Ayew has stated that he is not at Sochaux to win the love of the French media after they lambasted him at Marseille.

Ayew believes his work on the field will speak for him and does not need to influence anyone in the media to write good things about him.

“I do my job, I’m not here to win back the public love and that of the media. I'm not the type of player who will go out and eat with a journalist. With me, it does not happen like that,” Ayew told Le10sports.

“If I’m good on the ground at a time, it will happen naturally, but I will be the same. Why change? And I tell you honestly, what people say or write about me, I do not care. I do not have revenge.”

The on-loan striker was on target again over the weekend as his side Sochaux went away to beat Rennes 2-1.
