The Ghanaian star has revealed that his brother has been helping him in his quest to win the top scorer’s award in the Gulf Region
Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan has revealed that he draws motivation and inspiration from his brother Baffour Gyan in his quest to win the Golden Boot for the third successive time in UAE.
Gyan is now tied on 26 goals with Al Wahda's Argentine forward Sebastian Tagliabue with a few games to end the season.
“My brother is the one who has been motivating me every time,” the Black Stars captain, whose overall record in the UAE top-flight reads 79 goals in 64 games, said. “I’ve been communicating with him every time, even on the pitch, at home, everywhere.”
He added: “He was telling me the same thing as my team-mates: that I shouldn’t be nervous because I might come first, that we’re competing for the top scorer this season.”
The Ghanaian skipper has been the best player in the UAE for the past three seasons
