The former Black Stars last line of defence has distanced himself from publications making rounds in the local media that he favours Norway-based Kwarasey to Fatau Dauda of Pirates
Sekondi Hasaacas shot-stopper George Owu has debunked widespread report that he prefers Stromsgodset keeper Adam Kwarasey to man Ghana’s post to Fatau Dauda and other contenders.
A very livid Owu said he was surprised to have heard of the news being attributed to him since he has never made such pronouncement to any media house.
“I have never said that in an interview with any newspaper or online magazine, this is really unethical, unprofessional, abusive and must be stopped immediately,” ‘Kigali’ as he is affectionately called told Frontpagegh.
“Honestly, I felt very unpleasant when I heard the publication. These things must not be done since that could trigger animosity among my other colleagues.”
Owu was in post when Hasaacas thrashed Ghana giants Hearts of Oak 3-0 at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium on Wednesday in the FCP Premier League courtesy a double from Samuel Afful (Okocha) and Augustine Arhinful.
Hasaacas are 4th on the log with 39 points after playing 27 games with three games left to call the season off.
