Suspended Yahaya Mohammed backs teammates to beat Ethiopia on Tuesday

The Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward has a lot of confidence in his colleagues to deliver the goods in his absence

Suspended Ghana forward, Yahaya Mohammed is backing his colleagues to deliver in the final CHAN Group C match against Ethiopia on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old who scored Ghana’s goal in the 1-1 draw with Libya last Friday has been suspended because of a second successive yellow card.

A draw against the Ethiopians is enough to send the Local Black Stars to the quarter finals.

Mohammed who is one of the influential players in the team told that the quarter finals dream would be achieved even without him on the pitch.

"Everybody can play. We have so many strikers including Seidu Bancey and Paul Asare. They are all capable of playing just that we cannot all play at the same time. I have belief in them that they can do it coming Tuesday," Yahaya Mohammed said.

"We are so confident and we are so determined because we know Ethiopia is a very good side. It’s unfortunate they lost their first two games. We are going all out and we are not going to underrate them that they have lost two matches."

Yahaya Mohammed won the man-of-the -match award when Ghana drew 1-1 with Libya.
