The Everton and West Brom target has joined coach Herve Renard’s side in the French Ligue 1 as he yearns for more first team experience to catch the eye of the Ghana coach
Olympique Marseille striker Jordan Ayew has completed a loan move to Sochaux as he eyes more play time ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
The Ghanaian forward will play on loan till June 2014 and will continue to be on the pay roll of Marseille and there is no possible purchase option for Sochaux at the end of the season.
Ayew, who has been reduced to a bench warmer at the Stade Velodrome, is desperately in need of enough first team playing time in order to make it to the World Cup.
"An agreement in principle was reached between Marseille and Sochaux for the loan until the end of the season of Jordan Ayew," read a statement on the struggling side's official website.
"The arrival of the Ghana international striker at FC Sochaux is now conditional on the medical examination."
He had been a target of Everton, Stoke City, West Brom, West Ham and OJ Nice. He has scored two goals in all competitions.
