The veteran winger is optimistic he can make it to the global football fiesta for the first time in his career with Ghana once he joins Phoenix FC next year to enjoy playing time
One-time Ghana hotshot Laryea Kingston believes he will regain his spot within the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
The former Hearts of Midlothian and Terek Grozny winger is scheduled to sign for US Pro league side Phoenix and believes that could be a springboard to re-launch his international occupation.
“Since I am still active and can play, I am eyeing to play for Ghana at the World Cup if even for five minutes because that is the only minus on my CV,” Laryea told Goal Ghana.
“I will be moving to Phoenix FC next month or two and I think the USA will be a very comfortable place for me as I will have my peace of mind to play football.”
He added: “We can qualify from the group. The doubting Thomases should remember what Ghana did to Czech and Serbia in 2006 and 2010.”
The former Hearts of Oak winger has been capped 41 times by Ghana scoring six goals.
