Hearts striker Fiamenyo rubbishes reports of fracas with former coach Duncan

The former Heart of Lions player has denied having any problem with sacked coach, David Duncan

Accra Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo said the dismissal of coach David Duncan has nothing to do with him.

Reports have been rife in the local media that Duncan was booted out because of a row with the 21-year-old.

But the bulky striker said there is no iota of truth in the reports.

"It is never true that I had a grudge with Coach Duncan. Duncan has no problem with me or any other Hearts of Oak player," Fiamenyo said on Asempa FM's 'Fire for Fire' show.

"I can't even sleep because the supporters always insult me that I am the reason Duncan was sacked. I am a young player coming up and this issue worries me a lot," he lamented.

"The players like Duncan very well because he fights for the players. He motivates and inspires us to put up good performance all the time."

"It's the board's decision to sack Coach Duncan. I have no idea why he was sacked."

Fans of the club have mounted pressure on the board to reinstate the coach who obviously passes the test in terms of performance ever since he took charge.
