AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has officially written to the Ghana FA that he is available to play for the Black Stars again.
Boateng quit the Black Stars two years ago citing several reasons including his health, but has made a U-turn “after a few consultations.”
“I write to inform the Ghana Football Association that after a few consultations, I have decided to change my decision and confirm my availability to play for the Black Stars whenever I am needed,” the German-born Ghanaian said in his letter to the FA.
“It is my wish that this letter finds you well.”
The football governing body has replied saying it welcomes the decision.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome your decision to return to action to the national team of Ghana, the Black Stars,” Emmanuel Gyimah, the General Secretary of the FA said in a statement.
“Your decision to return to action for Ghana will surely re-energise the Black Stars for our future challenges.
“We are confident that you will work hard in the team to ensure the continuous progress of our beloved national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.”
