The Dutch forward of Ghanaian origin was on target as his side beat Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie
The forward who earned a call-up to the Dutch Under-21 team for their game against Czech Republic last Wednesday, first came close to scoring in the 29-minute but the opposing keeper Eloy Room was a boundary to his goal.
After 40 minutes, the home side were gifted a chance, when Depay was presented the ball, but instead of shooting, the attacker tried to round the keeper, and allowed defenders to get back, and clear his weak effort off the line.
Just before half time, Depay had another excellent chance, after being set up by Matavz, but his shot was brilliantly tipped onto the post by Room.
PSV finally had the lead, when Florian Jozefzoon flicked in a Matavz cross at the near post, for his first goal for the club with Oscar Hiljemark getting the second in the 55th minute.
The win was sealed just before full time as Depay curled in an excellent free kick from 25 yards to make it 3-0.
Depay, 19, is still eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.
