Anderlecht Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong has said that Jamaican and world sprint king Usain Bolt is his idol, and he looks at his clips a lot to emulate him on the football field.

The 19-year-old Ghanaian spent just 17 minutes on the field against Gent over the weekend but was named man-of-the-match with his lightening pace down the right flank.

“Bolt is my idol. I like the way he runs. I try to do the same thing when I get the ball on the field,” dhnet.be was told by the former Buriram United player.

“When I was young, I was not so fast as that. I learnt to be fast when growing up, speed is my weapon. God gave me the football talent, but I had to explore to get the speed.”

Acheampong added: “Anderlecht is the best club I can imagine. It is like a family here. The fans are already chanting my name.”
