The safest pair of hands has recovered from a finger injury that kept him out of action for most parts of last season in the Ghana Premier League

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy is back from the treatment room, Goal Ghana understands.

The shot-stopper injured his finger last year making it impossible for him to feature in the second round of the 2012-13 Ghana league season.

The 28-year-old, who described the situation as “frustrating”, would hope to be back in full action for the Phobians when the new season begins.

He lost his position to Tetteh Luggard after struggling to recover in time.

McCarthy told Goal earlier: “It’s been very difficult and frustrating, but it doesn't mean I have given up. I am hoping for quick recovery and an injury-free next season and above all hoping for the best.”
