The Hearts of Oak captain says the performance of David Duncan in the just ended league should make him the best candidate for the season’s best coach accoladeAccra Hearts of Oak striker, Mahatma Otoo, has patted his coach on the back and also backed him to win the best coach award which will soon be announced by the Professional League Board (PLB).
David Duncan joined Hearts of Oak midway through the first round after the sacking of C.K Akunnor.
The former Ashgold coach came to Hearts when they were really struggling but managed to turn things around in the second round.
Hearts moved from the relegation zone to finish 5th and in the process were the best team in the second round after losing just one match.
“The records are clearly written on the wall and everyone knows what David Duncan has done,” Otoo told Accra-based Asempa FM.
“I think he has done a great job and deserves to win the best coach of the season.”
Otoo himself is in line for the best player of the season after an impressive campaign which saw him hitting 20 goals to win the top scorer’s accolade.
