The Black Stars slip three places to 24th in the latest edition of the Fifa ranking with Spain still holding on to their lead as Ivory Coast continue to rule Africa
The four-time African champions were ahead of former world champions Brazil at the 21st position, but slipped three places due to the just ended Fifa Confederations Cup, World Cup qualifiers and some 29 friendlies played in June.
Spain, who lost in a 3-0 Confederations Cup final against Brazil last Sunday, are still holding on to their lead followed by Germany. Brazil, who will be hosting the 2014 World Cup, are now ninth.
Ivory Coast remain Africa’s number one with Mali behind Ghana at the third spot.
