More goals were scored in the just ended Ghana Premier League season than the previous one
The figure shows 37 more goals were scored more than the previous term of 476.
Asante Kotoko won the league last Sunday after 240 matches were played during the campaign with Berekum Chelsea coming second whiles Hearts of Oak finished fifth.
The goals record shows an average of 2.1 goals were scored per game - an improvement on the 1.98 average goals per game recorded in the previous season.
The average goals per week was 17.1 and each club scored an average of 32.06 goals. Last season recorded an average goals per week of 15.87.
A total of 170 wins was recorded with 70 drawn matches. Asante Kotoko lost two matches but Real Tamale United lost 25 times.
Hearts of Oak scored the highest number of goals - 46 - while Real Tamale United settled for the least goals scored by a club - 19.
Back-to-back champions, Kotoko finished the campaign with the best defensive record after conceding 23 goals in 30 matches. But demoted Real Tamale United, who propped the 16-team table picked the ball 73 times from their net.
Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo finished as the top goal scorer with 20 goals.
