The Black Stars winger is delighted to have won his first title with the Portuguese top flight sideGhana winger Christian Atsu has expressed his excitement after winning his first silverware with FC Porto.
Atsu helped the Blues and Whites to clinch its third straight Portuguese league title on the final day of the season.
The talented winger who is currently with the Black Stars preparing for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho is thrilled to have won the league with Porto.
“I’m happy to have won the league with Porto, although as a player you would want to contribute more but helping the team win is something special for me and the team-mates so I’m glad I won the league title,” Atsu told TV3.
Atsu managed just nine Primeira Liga starts this season for FC Porto in the Portuguese league.
Liverpool is reportedly very keen to sign the 21-year-old and that talks are ongoing with the Merseyside club.
