The 1999 hero with the Black Starlets is hoping to use his rich experience to propel his new club Phoenix FC forwardGhana international Anthony Obodai said that his new team Phoenix FC can count on his huge experience in order to make a meaningful impact in the ongoing USL Professional Division League.
The 30-year-old midfield enforcer was signed by the club earlier this year from Cypriot side Magusa Turk Gucu as they seek to make a good impression in their inaugural season in the USL.
“I will use my huge experience I have gotten over the years in Europe playing for clubs such as Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam to push the club forward,” Obodai told Goal Ghana.
“This is a new terrain and a new challenge for me as I do not know much about the league but my aim is to help my club get to the top.”
Obodai, who made a name for himself with the Ghana Black Starlets way back in 1999, has also had successful spells with Ajax Amsterdam, Sparta Rotterdam and a host of other clubs.
