Michael Helegbe grabbed a brace to take the Porcupine Warriors to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup where they will face off with Amidaus Professionals
Kumasi Asante Kotoko laboured to beat second-tier Sekondi side, Sekondi XI Wise 2-1 in their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash.
The Porcupine Warriors needed an extra time goal from Michael Helegbe to seal their progress after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
It was the same Helegbe who registered the first goal after Michael Akuffo had missed a spot kick.
The Porcupine Warriors will now face Amidaus Professionals in the semi-finals on June 2.
Amidaus qualified after defeating Aduana Stars 2-1 at the Tema Park on Saturday with both goals coming from Yahaya Mohammed.
Hearts of Oak will meet Medeama Sc in the other match on June 1, meaning the remaining teams are all premier league sides.
