The Ghana Premier League debutants are the first side to berth at the semi-finals of the knockout competition and are likely to face Asante Kotoko nextTema-based side Amidaus Professionals booked their ticket to the semi-finals of the Ghana FA Cup on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Aduana Stars at the Tema Sports Stadium.
The premiership debutants are the first team to advance to the next round of the competition by virtue of playing a day early than the other teams.
Amidaus had on-loan Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed, who is also the skipper of the side, to thank for their passage to the semis after he scored a brace to send them through, even though they conceded late in the game by Emmanuel Allan’s spot kick for Aduana Stars.
Amidaus Professionals will play the winner of the Asante Kotoko vrs Eleven Wise match in the semi-finals stage of the competition.
The remaining quarter-finals games will be played on Sunday with Accra Hearts of Oak playing second-tier side Bibiani Gold Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium with their archrivals Kotoko hosting another second-tier side Sekondi Eleven Wise at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and Premier League leader Medeama welcoming Kpando Heart of Lion to the T&A Park in Tarkwa.
